Prime People

There is no successful business in the world that doesn’t owe its success to the staff who run it. Prime Television is no different and is proud to boast a happy, committed work force that work to maintain and grow our business whilst providing the quality service expected by our wide variety of customers.

We have found that much of our new business is down to word-of-mouth endorsements based on the positive experience our clients have with Prime. The first point of contact is always an employee and it is their professionalism and their “what can I do for you” attitude that makes Prime the established and successful business that it is today.

Some of Prime Television’s employees have been with the company for over 10 years and have a wealth of experience in their various departments; from the warehouse runner  to the managing director, we promise to give all that we can to every job, production or assignment.

Nick Ludlow – Managing Director

Nick LudlowA well respected and experienced broadcast professional and entrepreneur, Nick has been involved in television for over 30 years and has founded and launched numerous businesses from production companies to new TV and web channel launches. As keen to make the coffee as chair a board meeting, Nick’s attention to detail along with commitment to his staff and clients, form the backbone of Prime Television. The success, he says, is down to the staff and freelancers it employes.

Chris Earls – Director of Operations

Chris EarlsWith almost two decades of broadcast experience across television, radio and new media Chris has a passion for bringing together the best of each genre and an unbeatable reputation for constantly producing numerous multiplatform productions for live news events, concerts and light entertainment for broadcast and live streaming on the web and IPTV. He delivers exactly what each client needs in a language they understand. Chris has been with Prime for nearly fifteen years; In that time he has built on his vast knowledge of the industry from his experiences as, hire manager, technical manager, location unit manager, project manager for new media/IT installations and production director. Now as Director of Operations, there is no one better in the country to head up our technical operations at Prime.

 Sharif Mohamed – Company Accountant 

SharifPrime is very fortunate to have the wealth of experience along with the calm and collective personality of Sharif Mohamed as the company accountant.  Sharif has the vital ingredients that Prime TV so desperately needed he combines financial and operational knowledge to promote better decisions that ultimately result in better outcomes and better use of resources. As a Certified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in change management, Sharif has become a definitive part of the companies rebuild and its plans for the future..

 Ron Fisher – Executive Producer

Ron FisherRon joined Prime in 2010 and brings a wealth of broadcast and video experience as a senior producer going back over 30 years. In this time, he has made numerous award winning programmes for many UK TV channels including ITV, ITV Digital, BBC, Channel 4, and MTV. Before joining Prime, Ron spent 12 years as an executive producer for ITV’s biggest commercial broadcaster – Carlton TV. His programmes won international and national acclaim including a prestigious RTS award for Current Affairs in 2004.

Ron skills include directing studio and OB’s of live and pre-recorded shows – confident self shooter – years of experience using Avid and FCP edit systems. Ron has been a massive boost to all aspect of production at Prime.  

Loryn Ludlow – HR and Office Manager

Loryn LudlowIf Nick is the backbone of the company then Loryn is definitely the heart and soul. Loryn joined the company seven years ago after 10 years working in Finance in the City. Their loss was our gain as she does a wonderful job keeping everything running smoothly and all of us happy. Loryn is a big favorite at Prime.

 
Richard Bell – Hire Co-ordinator / Web Editor 

Richard BellBelieve it or not Rich came from the banking industry (don't hold hit against him) before making a big career change to broadcast and finally joining Prime Television in 2010. A bit of a technical geek who can't get his hands on enough broadcast and new media technology reading material, he is always smiling and happy to deal with any enquiry. Richard is always hands on and regularly visits production locations in his own time to help in any way he can. A real asset at Prime as long has he doesn't expect to get the bonuses his old friends get in the banking business.

Matt Deeley – Equipment Manager

Matt DeeleyMatt is the ultimate equipment manager; he has worked on location and in kit rooms from an early age, working his way up from production runner, camera operator through to 1st AC. Matt has had firsthand experience in the field and understands the pressures and demands required from production equipment on location. Before joining Prime Matt had run kit rooms at two smaller broadcast hire companies and trained as a DIT and RED technician. Now managing the busy day to day (and night) of our extensive warehouse, he has maintained the high standards for in ensuring that Prime’s clients receive the very best equipment that arrives on schedule and in top working order.  

Kendal Kempsey – Camera Technician & FCP Editor

Kendal KempseyKendal has worked in the camera department on a wide range of factual television, primarily for the BBC. Whilst shooting numerous observational documentaries including the landmark ‘Child Of Our Time’ series he has gained a discreet and personal approach to filming with sensitive issues. He honed his craft learning from the best whilst assisting on multi-camera shoots like the Chelsea Flower Show and the legendary Coast.

Having edited for organisations like Warp Films and Unison, Kendal has an encyclopaedic knowledge of production and post-production workflow and techniques. He brings an eye for detail and a passion for emotive imagery to Prime.

Owen Hughes - Camera Technician

Owen HughesAfter impressing our clients while working for Prime TV on a freelance basis on the coverage of the Royal Wedding, Owen was asked to join Prime as a permanent member of staff.  Owen joins us with much field and equipment experiance, as well as being an all-round great guy. He graduated from Portsmouth University, obtaining a degree in Film & Television Production.  A keen would be camera operator, already with several awards under his belt including a British Independent Film Award for Best Documentary. He is keen to build his experience in camera operating and assisting and is proving to be a great asset to the Prime technical prep areas and on-location productions.
