John Gillan has been a successful Polecam and Jimmy Jib operator since 1995 covering Sports, Documentary, Reality and Music programmes and events. Over the last few years has been working largely on 3D programmes. His excellent jib skills combined with creative flair, good personality and over 25 years as a cameraman have earned him a popular reputation with clients both in the UK and the USA. As a Polecam operator he contributed to the winning of the ‘Technical Category’ Emmy Award for ‘The David Letterman Show’ on CBS. Recent work includes the X-Games 2009-2011, various Discovery and Sky 3D docs BAFTA LA awards and the Vancouver Olympics.
